Dear Joe,
I have been digging out some photographs of my father in law. He was in the 2LF pre war in India, and was called up for WW2. My wife tells me that he was evacuated from Dunkirk, but I can find no record of the LF there. Possibly the book you recommended will throw some light on it. I orderede it yesterday, thank you for that. I do have some photographs of his time in India and I believe Mesopotamia, pre war.
Incidentall, my son did 12 years in the REME as an armourer. My father was a regular in the RN, and so was I.
I will never forgive this government for what they are doing to our services!!!!!!!!!!!!
