Re-union Menu card for the 4th annual dinner of the 23rd Battalion,
Lancashire Fusiliers who served with the 40th Division. Card has
a hand painted Divisional Sign to front and has 14 signatures to
the reverse. The officer whose menu card it was [ M J Henderson
] served with the battalion and was POW on 8 August 1918. we think
the other signatures appear to be: J.A. Chambers, B.E. Brassington,
S.J. March, G. Burger, G.J. Charlton [also POW 8/8/1918].,R. Spencer
Tidworth ?, A.E. Frankland, O., Clermont ?, Geo Ballantine, George
Hiskell, S.J. Anthony, W.G. Bowditch, L.G.Lewes ?, A.G. Louis? |
