We are here to celebrate the life of a wonderful father, son, and brother, Edward John Breen was born to parents Bill and Kitty on the 15th August 1944in Clonmel Tipperary He lived together with Brother Thomas, and Sisters Kay, May, and Ann. The Family relocated from Ireland to England in 1957. They settled 66 Brook Street Bury Lancashire an area that housed many family members who had previously made the journey from Ireland

Edward attended St Gabriel's Roman Catholic High School along with his siblings. After leaving School he worked at Brook Street scrap yard where he made many friends and enjoyed socialising in his spare time In 1964 at the age of 19 Edward enlisted in the British Army He achieved the rank of Lance Corporal in the regimental Police of the Lancashire Fusiliers. Edward married Rita and together they had Children John, Georgina, and Eve. After serving in the Caribbean and Hong Kong, Edward left the Army in 1970 and he settled in Sutton Coldfield Birmingham

Edward enjoyed many years of happy work at Birmingham Council and regularly returned to Bury to visit close family members, he eventually returned to Bury following his early retirement
