Albert was Salford born and proud of it.Albert was the youngest of 10 children.

He was a patriotic man who served his country faithfully during National Service, in Kenya and Egypt, he was a Suez veteran having seen action during the Suez Crisis.

He was a true Red and fond of a pint or two, usually on a Sunday Afternoon. he was a joker and had a great sense of humour.
Albert met the love of his life,”Mary in Salford when she once asked him for a cigarette, they married in 1956 and they had Julie,
their daughter in 1957.

They lived in Kearsal, later moving to the Lancaster Road area. Andy and Julie are childhood sweethearts ,Andy grew up next door but one.Albert therefore knew Andy very well and Andy became more of a son than a son in law. With Andy being a true Blue, there were many scenes of rivalry over the years.

There were many happy holiday memories over the years, both at home and abroad.

Albert was a loving husband to Mary, a loving father to Julie, loving grandad to Hayley, Louise and Rebecca, a loving brother to Elsie, Bernard. he was also a loving father in law to Andy and friend to many.

To live in the hearts of those we leave behind, is not to die.
