Private Frederick Harridine 1/8th Lancashire Fusiliers. Private Fred Harridine, of the Lancashire Fusiliers, was killed
in action on March 27th, 1918. He resided at Radclyffe Street, Middleton,
and was 32 years of age. Private Harridine has no known grave, and his name is on the Arras Memorial, France. |

Private Thomas Emery Lance Corporal Fred Tetlow 1/8th Lancashire Fusiliers Another two Middleton lads died today at Gallipoli,
rather than the 1/6th, these two were in the 1/8th, which was raised in
Salford, most probably the 1/8th were undermanned and were transferred
from the 1/6th. Lance Corporal Fred Tetlow, of the 1/8th Battalion Lancashire Fusiliers, was killed in action at the Dardanelles, on June 6th, 1915. The son of Mr. and Mrs. Tetlow, Suffield Street, Middleton. This young soldier who was only 25 years of age, had been in the Territorials about six years. He was mobilised early in the war, at which time he was engaged at the Fire Station. Another two Middleton men, who have no known grave, and are commemorated on the Helles Memorial. |

Private Albert Revington 1/8th Lancashire Fusiliers Private Albert Revington, aged 21, of 30, Yates Street, Rhodes, was killed whilst fighting in the Dardanelles on May 7th, 1915. This soldier enlisted on September 1st 1914. Two other Revington's from Rhodes were killed in the
war, Joseph and Fred. Fred who is Albert's brother and Joseph who's listed
as living on Manchester Old Road. Albert has no known grave and his name is on the Helles Memorial in Turkey. |
